ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Annye
Rothenberg, Ph.D., is a San Francisco Bay Area child/parent
psychologist and a specialist in childrearing and development of
babies and children to age ten. Her parenting psychology practice is in Emerald Hills, CA, (San Francisco Peninsula).
For information on her child and parent counseling practice, please visit AnnyeRothenberg.com. She is also an adjunct clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at
Stanford University School of Medicine, teaching pediatric residents
how to give advice to parents on childrearing. Dr. Rothenberg spent
many years developing and directing an award-winning parenting program
in Palo Alto and has written several books, including Parentmaking,
used throughout the U.S. and Canada for teaching parenting
classes. Her advice is particularly individualized, realistic and practical because of
her school and home observations. She frequently gives talks to groups of
parents, teachers, and pediatricians. She is, of course, a parent. Her
first series of books for children and parents focuses on the most common childrearing issues of preschoolers. Her new series is for elementary school children and their parents.
The books have an “all-in-one” format with a colorfully illustrated,
meaningful story for children and a comprehensive manual for parents. For
